The four things that set your number
- Total cleanable square footage, across showroom, offices, lounge and back of house.
- How many service bays you run, and whether they need degreasing or just sweeping.
- How many washrooms you have, and whether they need midday checks. This is usually the single biggest driver after square footage.
- How many nights per week you need us, and whether you need a day porter during trading hours.
Industry ranges for budgeting
If you’re building a budget before you talk to anyone, commercial cleaning in Ontario is commonly quoted at roughly $0.10 to $0.25 per square foot per visit for standard work, or $30 to $40 per hour per cleaner for smaller and one-time jobs. Larger facilities attract lower per-foot rates. Periodic floor care — burnishing, stripping and waxing, carpet extraction and exterior glass — is normally quoted separately from the nightly contract.
